Today I am pleased to introduce a fellow blogger and beauty enthusiast, Jerlene who blogs over at Musicalhouses.blogspot.com!  I first met Jerlene at the Singapore Blog Awards competition last year, and was blown away by the detailed ingredient analysis she performs for every product that she reviews.  She also happens to have a really cheery disposition and is genuinely helpful when needed.  As it so happens, I asked her to help me fill some gaps here on the blog while I’m licking up pistachio gelatos all over Italy, and she has kindly consented to share her top 5 Christmas “Wishlist” today!

The holidays are upon us, and with that, will be a ton of Christmas releases. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the sets and new releases, and I thought I’d share with you some of what I have my eye on now!
Kiehl's
 1. Kiehl’s Aromatic Blends Body Lotion and Body Cleanser
Kiehl’s traditionally brings out a new Aromatic Blend scent every year. Last year, it was Vetiver and Black Tea, and before that, Parchouli and Fresh Rose. Regardless of the scent though, the formula of the products is generally pretty similar each year – which means that if you like this lotion or body cleanser, you can get it in a different scent every year! The body cleanser is generally gentle and doesn’t dry skin out, while the lotion is lightweight and non-greasy. I don’t know what 2015’s scent is yet, but I’m eagerly keeping an eye out!
Too-Faced-Le-Petit-Tresor
2. Too Faced Le Petit Tresor
Too Faced has many nice makeup items, but I really like their lipsticks, which come in a range of nice wearable colours, are pigmented, and feel very emollient on the lips. The lasting power isn’t the best, but it’s always a tradeoff between a lipstick that’s moisturizing and one that’s long lasting. The Le Petit Tresor consists of three mini-sized lipsticks, in two existing shades (Taffy and Buff) and one exclusive share, Wham! (Yes the exclamation mark is part of the name too.) Wham! happens to be the prettiest shade of the lot, as a glittery plummy grape shade, so this is definitely part of my picks!
MUFE
3. Make Up For Ever The 15 Artist Shadow Palette
I’m personally a big fan of MUFE, and their eyeshadows are some of my favourite items, with a nice soft (but not too soft!) texture, great pigmentation, and nice blendability. They’re not cheap, but if you want a range of colours in a handy palette, usually their palettes are worth the buy. The 15 Artist Shadow Palette has a range of both brights and neutrals, so it should cover most eyeshadow bases. Another great thing about the MUFE sets is that the quality of the eyeshadows in their sets and palettes is the same as the quality of their eyeshadow singles, and I’m saying this as the owner of multiple MUFE palettes!
UD Vice 44. Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette
You knew this was coming, didn’t you? Urban Decay is famous for their eyeshadows, and their eyeshadow palettes – from the Naked series to the Vice series – have gotten major love for the quality and range of colours. Everyone seems to go gaga for the Vice Palette every year, and this year is no exception. To be fair, the colour range of the Vice Palettes is on the bright side, so this is probably for those who like bolder eye looks. If you’re keen on getting one, this is the one you’ll need to meticulously track and head down to get it the moment it’s available, because it usually sells out fast!
TBS
5. The Body Shop Frosted Plum Sugar Scrub
We started with skincare, let’s end with skincare. Frosted Plum is The Body Shop’s new scent for 2015, and like most of its holiday scents, it veers towards the sweet and feminine. And coming in this scent are some new products, including Bath Fizz, and  my favourite, a Sugar Scrub. I wouldn’t recommend this for face use, as some people can be sensitive to the grains used in physical exfoliation, but this is a nice one to use in the bath, with sugar grains suspended in a moisturizing base to ensure that the skin isn’t dried out in the process.
Have you seen anything here that is going on your wishlist?
